As partners with SS Handcrafts and The Turtleman Foundation, the artisans unanimously agree to exercise fair trade standards and practices to "give back" to the region in order to ensure the enrichment of their community as well as their own lives.
The Turtleman Foundation is dedicated to the study, protection and education of the beloved sea turtle. Every year they donate a portion of their annual sales to The Georgia Sea Turtle Center and The Hawaiian Environmental Alliance (KAHEA) - both chosen for their prolific work with local sea turtles.
